Try a different place for your bag accessory

The position of a removable accessory can change how your bag looks. Consider its existing attachment points before adding another piece.

Same piece, different position

While waiting for a friend at the cinema, you settle your bag on your lap. Its familiar little accessory sits beside the handle. Seeing it there every day may mean you have never considered another position. If your bag has a second suitable point designed for an accessory, try the same piece there.

A simple oval accessory near the handle can become part of the bag’s upper outline. At an existing side attachment, it may appear as a separate small detail. What changes is not the accessory itself, but where it catches your eye on the bag.

Use the existing attachment

This experiment is only for your own removable accessory and the existing points intended to hold it. There is no need to pierce the bag, add a chain or turn jewellery into a bag attachment. If there is no second suitable point, keep the existing position; do not create a new attachment just for a styling experiment.

Pick up the bag as you normally use it. If the position makes holding the handle, opening the zip or carrying it awkward, return to the original place. A position you like in a photograph should also work for your everyday use.

One change is enough

A small suggestion for today: compare two positions with the same bag, accessory and jewellery. Once you choose one, you do not have to add another decoration. Sometimes refreshing a detail you enjoy means simply giving it another place.

The cover is an AI-generated fictional scene featuring Linda and her adult friend. The bag and accessory do not depict an actual item for sale.
